Exercise is Medicine Program @ Athletic

Prostate Cancer Edition

The Club has partnered with Maple Tree Oncology, a leader in evidence based exercise oncology, in order to offer a fitness program designed to improve outcomes for cancer patients. The program, which is supported by recommendations from the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN), helps survivors meet the recommended 150 minutes of weekly exercise. The primary focus of this 12 week session will be on improving cardiovascular endurance, strength, flexibility and balance for prostate cancer survivors. JT Pool, a Certified Oncology Exercise and LRAC yoga instructor with a background in nursing, will lead the small group.
